Who we are

VacatureKanaal is made by SebTechDev (KvK 87132931), which is responsible for your data. Contact: [email protected]. Postal address: SebTechDev, Box C0236, Oder 20, 2491DC Den Haag, the Netherlands.

What the app stores

What you save in the app, such as your settings or progress, is stored on your device. The app also sends the following to SebTechDev's own server, to keep the app running and to see how it is used:

  • a random ID created when you install the app, and a player ID
  • device and app details: device model and manufacturer, operating system and version, app version, screen size, language, time zone and country
  • when and how long you use the app
  • what you do in the app, such as the features you use
  • crash and error reports

Your country comes from your device settings, or from the country our network provider looks up for your connection. Our server does not save your IP address or an advertising identifier with this data; your IP address is only used briefly to block abuse.

Usage events are deleted after 400 days and error reports after 90 days. The rest is kept until you delete it (see "Your rights" below).

Analytics

Usage data is only used to understand and improve the app. We do not sell it or share it with advertisers.

Searching and applying

The vacancies come from VacatureKanaal (vacaturekanaal.nl). To show results, the app sends your searches and filters, and the vacancies you open, to VacatureKanaal's server. Like any website, that server receives your IP address with these requests, but not your player ID. When you tap Solliciteren, the app tells VacatureKanaal which vacancy you chose and then opens the application page in Safari; from there, the privacy policy of that website applies.

Our own server also records, as usage events, what you search for (search terms, place and the number of filters) and which vacancies you open, save and apply to. Saved vacancies are kept only on your device.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their data.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask which data we hold about you, and have it corrected or deleted. Email [email protected]. See how to delete your data. You can also complain to the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, the Dutch data protection authority.
